Day 10: NaPoMo 30 Thoughts in 30 Days

The Texture of Hope

Light that first aches
then burns through
fossils buried in jewelry boxes
and demons ahead;
wipes clean fates
etched in head stones.
Crimson rain
carves a new way-
same start, different destination.
Potholes filled imperfectly
but mercifully, timely
the naked baby snatched
from the burning building.
I reach and claw
for my cause with
a keen eye hunting
the horizon
for your searing mercy.

Thank you. This is beautiful. Sometime very soon I’d like to speak with you about how this stuff comes out of you, where do you pull these words, what space, from what place….. It is quite interesting. I am a fan. Love you, ajb
